My friend, Julie, left a comment that I thought I should make into a separate post so all of the readers will be invited to join in the Miracle Monday Fast.
Here's Julie's comment:
Maybe this isn't the most efficient way to circulate an idea, but I was wondering how many prayer warriors out there would be willing to fast and pray during Miracle Monday. Even if someone can lay down even one meal to focus their prayer time, that would be great. I'm not expert about the how/why of fasting, but I do know that it is scriptural.
So how about it? Will any of you out there lay aside your own need for food to focus your prayers on Chrissie's needs tomorrow? No need to respond, just do it if you feel led.

I am Stephanie McIntyre's sister in law. I have been following Chrissie's story and sharing it with any prayer warriors I know are out there. I have been down on my knees praying for you and your little girl. May the Lord's peace that surpasses all understand continue to bless you.
I'll do monday dinner...catherine
I will join Julie in fasting and praying for our Serbian Sensation. Today at church I was wondering if anyone had laid hands on Chrissie and prayed for healing. I was so encouraged when Laurel came home and said that today they laid hands on a pic of Chrissie and prayed for complete healing. This was after hearing Susan Cerdays testimony of her daughter Caroline who suffered a stroke at age 12. The doctors gave her only a 2% chance in surviving. Not only did she survive but she is now walking with some assistance and is getting better daily. All praise goes to God, Jehovah Rapha. Brenda Cavazos
I am in! With love, Maryann Foster
Praying and fasting tomorrow in Georgia!
I will be fasting all day for Chrissie. Believing in a miracle. Tony
Our devotional tonight was about how Daniel and the other 3 refused to eat from the king's table for 10 days. The kids and I decided that this 'coincidence' was God asking us to join Julie in her Miracle Monday fast tomorrow for Miss Chrissie. Parker (13) got a serious look on his face and said that since this is for Chrissie, he thought we should eat like Daniel for a full 10 days. I have to report that I was blown away at the instant agreement of all the children!! So, thank you Julie, we are all going to do a 'Daniel fast" for 10 days, eating only things grown from sown seed (fruits, vegetables, and grains)and drinking only water in honor of Chrissie and her brave fight. (Please God, help this coffee/DDP drinker switch to water for the next 10 days!)
Father God, thank you for these amazing children. Please use this small offering to glorify Your Name and to bless our precious Chrissie. Amen

I have been following the blog now for a couple of months and praying like crazy. I am a huge prayer warrior. I will my best to fast at lunch time tomorrow. I might have to have a snack because of meds that require me to eat when I have to take them but we will see how I feel in the morning. God has worked through Chrissie and your family already in numerous ways. I can't imagine what He is going to continue to do. You have been a huge blessing to me and I thank God for people like you. I will be praying all day tomorrow but especially during lunch time.
I have been following your blog and story now for several months. I am out of work on disability now for almost 4 years and love being able to pray for others because I feel like I am doing something and helping others. I know what it means to have people seriously praying for you. I will do my best to fast tomorrow during lunch time. I can't make any promises because I might have to eat something small so that I can take some meds but you can count on me to take time at lunch to pray specifically for Chrissie and your family. God has already done so much through Chrissie and your family and I eagerly await to see what He is going to continue to do. I thank God everyday for parents like Chrissie has. Not all parents would do all that you both have and will continue to do. You both are a huge blessing. I will continue to lift you all up on prayer as you continue down the road in which God is leading you.
I just wanted to share the post I put on my blog for Chrissie and your family, I am on my knees praying and fasting for your precious miracle, Praying God allows her to be weaned from ECMO and that he allows her body to adjust to its new normal post Surgery.
From one heart family to another, we understand your journey so well.......and just how much of a rollercoaster ride it is, our Daughter is not able to have a transplant either for many of the same reasons Chrissie can't, but we just treat each day as a blessing because it is!
We have been given 12 years of those blessings and we pray for many more as we do for you.
Hugs and HUGE amounts of prayers coming from our home to you,

praying and fasting in central Pennsylvania...
I've never done this before, but then again I have been doing a lot of things that I have never done before since "meeting" Chrissie -- I'm in!! I will be fasting for Chrissie's Miracle Monday today!!
Mondays are my days to fast and pray for each person in my family. I have added Chrissie to that list today and will cover her all day in prayer. Claiming Psalm 118:17.
Praying and fasting for Chrissie's MIRACLE Monday. Fasting breakfast and lunch and music in the car.
God is doing something big, not just for Chrissie but for all of us.
I will fast today - only water to drink, no snacks, and pray for Chrissie. I can't give up the Internet only because I keep checking on her.
Fasting and praying for Chrissie's Miracle Monday.
