One step forward and two steps back.
This morning, we're on the two steps back portion of the famous Texas slow dance with our Serbian-Texan who's learning how to two-step.
This morning, Chrissie's lungs are NOT looking good at all. In fact, they're having to switch the ventilator to the aggressive one called the oscillator. It blows constant short puffs at a very rapid rate into Chrissie's lungs. They're going to do an echo of her lungs in a little while to determine if her lungs are bleeding or if it's blood pooling into her lungs from extra bleeding around her heart. She may have some pools of blood around her lungs as well, which doesn't allow the lungs to inflate. I heard something about collapsed lungs, which might be why the oscillator is coming in. There's a team in the room working on Chrissie now, so I'm typing from the waiting room. They don't normally kick us out of the room; they said they needed extra space for extra equipment and staff.
That means extra prayers are being ordered, too!!! So, I believe the General of this prayer army is writing orders for the same type of prayers that our Miracle Monday required. One reader commmented that she's calling today Testimony Tuesday. That's going to require some heavy prayer.
One thing that they're encouraged about as far as brain activity goes is that Chrissie's blood pressure shoots way up anytime any medical staff go near her, which is quite indicative that our Chrissie is in there. She's responded to our voices with movement in her shoulders and her eyebrows as well. They've ordered her pain meds to be increased because Chrissie can't tell us about her pain level, but the way her blood pressure sky rockets every time a nurse comes near tells us that she's in there and she's probably in a lot of pain right now. But, they're upping pain meds to help with that, which I'm very thankful for. The doctors and staff at Methodist Children's in San Antonio totally ROCK. They are truly amazing angels sent by God to surround our baby girl with the best of earthly care possible, guided by the Great Physician.
One nurse, who isn't even Chrissie's nurse, poked his head in this morning and said, "That's one tough girl you've got there."
We know that, and we're so proud of Chrissie for her princess warrior spirit. She's been battling this with all of her heart, soul, mind and strength. God is sustaining her. He is breathing His life into her.
Chrissie would prefer to hip-hop dance out of here with her tiara atop her head. No more two-stepping please!

PRAYING WITHOUT CEASING...just more "drama" for this amazing testimony of God's power! That's what faith can do!

Praying continually for you guys! Praying for peace, wisdom and strength. AND of course for more miracles on Testimony Tuesday!
Praying from Minnesota! "For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall slap their hands." Isaiah 55:11
Knowing there will be singing and clapping soon. As we trust in the almighty Lord to break down the hills.

Lord, I pray that you would give lil Chrissie strength and endurance. Heal her body God. Touch her parents and give them strength too Lord. I can't even fathom, nor do I wish to, what they are all going through right now. I pray that you would give her brothers and sisters a peace and calmness about the situation. I thank you Lord for the miracles you are going to do in this families life. Lord though 1000 may fall at Chrissies side and 10,000 at her right hand, no harm will come to chrissie. let her feel no pain and be able to walk , no, skip out of that hospital soon. In Your blessed name we pray. Amen.
hugs to your family.
Continuing to pray for precious Chrissie...that her lungs be cleared, her oxygen levels remain strong, carbon dioxide levels to normal, her heart and lungs working in perfect symetry, her body strengthening with every passing day. Chrissie, be not afraid, the Lord your God is with you always. Dear Lord, continue to work Your miraculous healing on this sweet child. Comfort her if and when she is afraid and minister to any pain or fear she might have I pray that You will continue to guide her medical team as well as strengthen her family and loved ones as they fight this battle on behalf of their beloved Chrissie. In Jesus precious and Mighty Name, Amen! PS. Wouldn't it be interesting to know if prayer for Chrissie is covered in EVERY single state? And however many countries? That would be AWESOME!
