Chrissie Update, 4/20, 2:40PM

Thank you all for praying for our precious Chrissie.  I continue to be humbled and in total awe of the numbers of prayer warriors who are lifting Chrissie up to our Father.

Matt and I have been in the PICU room with Chrissie, so we haven't been able to update, and I apologize.  Chrissie is still in comatose state (medicall induced), but there is much more optimism in the voices of everyone we speak to.  There are many signs that Chrissie is improving, although she's still dependent upon life support machines.  She continues to progress throughout the day, with many signs that she's fighting.

The doctors believe she will be on the life support machines for atleast a few more days.  They can keep her alive on the machines for a few weeks, but with all of the prayer warriors lifting Chrissie up, I am believing that Chrissie is going to pull through faster than anyone would expect.

I'm going to post this quickly, and hopefully I'll get a chance to record some of the signs of improvement and God's hand in her life.  Many of you have asked how you can help, and the thing we would love more than anything else is that you spend time on your knees begging our Lord to show His mighty healing hand and touch our daughter, restoring her to full health, granting her an abundant life so that all of the glory will be given to our King of Kings, our Jehovah Rapha (our Healing God).  Please spend the same amount of time that you would have spent driving here to visit us or anything else you might do for our family, and get on your knees to lift up our precious angel, Christyn Joy.

We are most grateful for your prayers, and that is what brought Chrissie back to life.  Your cries are being heard.  To God be all the glory!!!

Hello... I just found your blog today on Renee Garcia's blog... I have been praying for this precious girl all day and will continue!! She's a doll and I am so amazed at the faith that you and your family are showing. I cannot imagine what you are going through and hope that I never will have to experience it. But God does heal... I love the Hillsong Song that says "You hold my every moment,You calm my raging sea,
You walk with me through fire,
Heal all my disease, I trust in you
I trust in you, I believe you're my healer
I believe you are all I need
I believe you're my portion
I believe you're more than enough for me, Jesus you're all I need"
I will be praying and waiting for your next update!!!

I am certainly praying for her....I have Wollf-Parkinson-White syndrome, and my dad recently had titanium valves placed in his heart. Immediately after surgery, it didnt go so well....but after they placed a pacemaker...he was doing sooo much better. I know how scary and helpless it can feel, I pray for your peace and comfort as well!

This brought tears to my eyes.

Oh, how I am praying for her to gain strength and come back to you.

I cannot imagine how hard this is, but I'm so glad you find peace and hope in The One that gave her to you in the first place.

I found your blog from Abby's blog. (I met their precious family when we were on a road trip last fall.) I just wanted you to know that I am praying for you, and BELIEVING for you that God CAN heal your precious daughter.

I also want to share a little story with you ...

My 3 year old was in a drug-induced coma for a week. We did not know if he would live or die. When I asked one of the nurses on the 2nd day what his prognosis was, she said, "I don't know. Our other patients like this would have died by now."

A week after he miraculously came out of his coma, we were sent to the regular floor of the hospital. One of his doctors told me, "I don't know if you understand how unbelievable this is that your son is leaving ICU, this soon, in this condition." Yes. We knew.

A week later ... we brought him home (as the doctors shook their heads in wonder).

Two months later, I asked Elijah if he remembered being in the hospital. "Yes. I was there with Jesus." End of discussion.

Two years later, Elijah told me, "When I was in the hospital, Jesus took me to heaven, twice, and then he let me come home."

Yes. I have no doubt that my son went to heaven with Jesus (while in his drug-induced coma). I look forward to hearing the stories that Chrissie may be able to tell.

Praying!

Laurel :)
