All is well here in PICU Rm 1 with the Serbian Sensation! Praise the Lord for His mighty healing hand.

I've spent the day by Chrissie's side, napping and reading stories to our princess who is doing well and remains fever-free. :-)

This message is sent to you via the blessing of Lorraine's cell phone. :-)

Thanks for the update. Every time I come near my computer, I have to check for an update. We've all become so attached to your daughter. We are still praying out here in Iowa!

Lorraine, your posts have been such a blessing and a much-needed reminder that God's hand determines the course of our lives, and His is a hand of healing. It has given me renewed hope in dealing with my own son's condition. Thank you, and many prayers continue for you and your Serbian Sensation.

I had to check in before I get my 3 kiddos to bed. We will pray for your princess again tonight. So thankful we serve a mighty God who loves us so! One day I hope to write and tell you how your family's miracles are helping my 9 year old daughter(from China) to believe in God and take baby steps to trusting Him! Praying for you all in NC!

That is great to hear! As I was reading my kids their bedtime stories, I had Chrissie in my thoughts and heart as if I was reading to her, too. So thankful and hopeful for the positive news. How are you two holding up? You have to be beyond exhausted! Praying for you as well!

I'm still praying all throughout the days and will keep on my "post" until you tell me to stop. :) I love falling asleep at night knowing that your baby girl is resting and healing. God is so very good!

Yea!!! Best news all day! I know those times with you are such a blessing to you. Can you imagine if she was somewhere in Serbia with no one to lover her? Alone in this. I am sure she'd be in Heaven already b/c she gave up. Thank you for rescuing her. I know you have given her a life and love she wouldn't have had otherwise. I know it has come at great cost to your family, but I am so happy Chrissie is part of your family- so there is absolutely no other option! I hope you both have a great night and that her lungs and heart heal and get stronger and stronger each day!!

So glad things are going well! I am praying things remain quiet and you will get some rest.

I just wanted to mention one other way that Chrissie is a blessing. I have been closely following your blog, and it helps me to remember the another little girl who is struggling for her life. My friend's infant grand-daughter recently received a liver transplant, and is still struggling. She now has mono, and in spite of all the doctors' efforts, it is getting worse. To treat it, they have to reduce her anti-rejection drugs, so that endangers her transplant. Anyway, praying for your sweet girl is helping me remember to lift up another precious little one. Thank you for allowing me to share in your journey.

I'm so grateful to God for another good day. Chrissie is such a fighter and our God is so good! I like what Ellen said about the fruit of the Spirit/self-control. I bet she's right.

Tell Chrissie to be a persistent boss to those lungs!

Job 33:26 (New International Version)

26 He prays to God and finds favor with him,
he sees God's face and shouts for joy;
he is restored by God to his righteous state.

Psalm 16:8-10 (New International Version)

8 I have set the LORD always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.

9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,

10 because you will not abandon me to the grave, [a]
nor will you let your Holy One [b] see decay.

Psalm 41:3
The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness.

Rest well dear Chrissie, Matt and Lorraine.

My personal favorite - I lie down and sleep in peace for you alone O Lord make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8

Here in Russia, we are praying for Chrissie and each member of your family as you sleep. Father, grant them healing rest, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Fight the battle for Chrissie's lungs with your awesome power. Grant her true rest with no panic. Thank you that while each one clings to you, the strength comes from your right hand holding them up.
