Ugh...

Chrissie just almost coded...again. Oxygen sats got down into the 40's and blood pressure was extremely low. Blood is steadily streaming into Chrissie's lung. It appears to be her right lung. It also seems that once it pools up too much, Chrissie coughs and that is when the blood comes pouring up and out of her breathing tube. When the breathing tube is full of blood, oxygen has a hard time making it through as her ventilator tries to keep her alive. They ended up bagging Chrissie during that episode as the only means of saving her life, which didn't even appear to help for several minutes. Oh, the nausea that I get when I watch things decline so rapidly. So hard. My poor baby.

The doctor is extremely worried, his exact words. He said, "I was worried before, and now I'm extremely worried." He is having the oscillator moved back in here incase they need to get her back on that if this occurs again and bagging her fails.

This is clearly not good. I beg you to get on your knees and beg our Jehovah Rapha for a huge dose of His mighty healing, for Him to breathe life into Chrissie's lungs and heal her lungs and stop the bleeding.

Our gracious Saviour has delivered Chrissie through every obstacle she's faced, including death on two separate occassions. Petition Him for healing and life again for our Serbian Sensation. She has an amazing testimony; to God be all the glory.

This message is sent to you via the blessing of Lorraine's cell phone. :-)

Praying and thinking of you across the the miles.
I was wondering if they have considered using talcum powder treatment on Chrissie. It is used to stop fluid build up in the lungs. I don't know if it is used on children though but I just had the need to tell you just incase. The talc irritates the pleura and makes them stick together. So that there is no space for fliud to collect.
I am praying for your MIRACLE to continue to show the world what Faith can do.
A MOTHERS DAY MIRACLE would be the best present you will every receive.

Oh how my own heart aches to read this post!! BUT...we KNOW that the Lord God can --and WILL heal sweet princess Chrissie! I pray that He will continue to impart wisdom on her medical team. I pray that Dr. Porisch comes back to you all soon because I know that even though all the other doctors are ALSO excellent at what they do AND they too care very much for Chrissie, there appears to be a special bond between Dr. P and your family. Mostly, I pray that Chrissie's condition has not only stabilized but miraculously improved! That her lungs stop their bleeding and become obedient to their Creator and that precious Chrissie continue to "boss" those lungs into submission before God! I wonder Lorraine, what would happen if you very simply in language she would understand, described to Chrissie what a lung LOOKS like so she (Chrissie) could envision it, tell her the job of the lung and the problem with her lungs right now (bleeding) and ask Chrissie if she can boss those lungs and make the bleeding stop, envision the lung nice and pink. Might sound kind of "new agey" and that is NOT my intent but if God can use something like that to Chrissie's benefit, that would be so cool! Keep fighting, dear Chrissie! See if you and your Heavenly Father can give your mommy a MIRACULOUS MOTHER'S DAY!! But then again, it already IS miraculous because you are still with her! Hugs and prayers, Lori
