Praying now for Ethan and his family. Praying for total healing from our Father- whether it be on Earth or in Heaven. Praying for peace and comfort for his Mom. How is Sweet Chrissie feeling? Amazed by HIS grace, E
Oh, Lorraine, Praying right now tonight for Chrissie and Ethan. Praying for God's healing and restoration. Praying for mighty miracles. Praying for comfort and peace. Praying for wisdom and strength in the waiting and treating. Loving you and Ethan's family from afar as a sister-in-Christ!
You bet I will pray! Thank you for letting us know. Praying for a miracle, for the Lord to revive Ethan's brain and to fill the whole situation with His Peace..... Shannon
Don't say, "All I can offer is tears and hugs and prayers ..."
Yes, that may be all that you can offer, but that is a LOT.
From our time in ICU, with our 3 year old in a coma, some of my most precious memories are the people from our church that came to cry with us, to hug us, and to pray with us. They did not have to come bearing gifts, or even words of wisdom. The tears, the hugs, and the prayers were the most beautiful gift they could give.
You ARE blessing this mama, just by your mere presence, comfort, and concern. God has placed you there to show His love to her.
Even in the midst of your most difficult trial, God is using you to minister to others. God will bless you, for ALL that you are doing.
Praying for Ethan, and for your sweet Chrissie tonight. Thank you Lorraine, for being His hands and feet to Ethan's mom, may the Lord pour into you, even as you pour out.
This makes me so sad. I am a mother and just couldn't imagine what I would do if I was told my child was brain dead. I did a search on whether or not someone who is brain dead can wake up as it sometimes makes me uncomfortable by how quickly the medical world gives up. I found these two articles. They are older, but are interesting:
Just saw this but am praying for Ethan and his mom. I can't imagine having to cope with all that you both are dealing with but the Lord knows! I pray that God will heal Ethan's brain, work a mighty miracle, restore life to yet another of His precious children so that Ethan gets to spend many more Mother's Day's with his mom and that the Lord will be glorified for His Mighty works yet again! These are our new sons! Click their picture to read the story of how God worked miracles to lead us to them while in Ukraine Dec. '11.
Sons of our Heart
These were our Summer '11 host boys who we planned to adopt. God brought us to Ukraine Dec. 2011 to adopt them, but turned the events to lead us to adopt 2 six-year-old boys with Down syndrome! Our host boys now live with their bio aunt, but they'll always be sons in our hearts.
Hi, I'm Lorraine. I'm just one member of Team Boss Your Heart, but I happen to be the one who keeps up with this little blog God started in December 2009. I'm mom to 13 (3 bio, 10 adopted, 1 in heaven), so I don't devote as much time to updating this blog much anymore--sorry! This is my online diary/scrapbook of sorts, a way to record this journey of large family--special needs--blessed by adoption--ranch living--Jesus loving life. Explore this blog (and BossYourHeart.com) to get to know us, as well as the ministry and testimony God has given us. It's not your typical family testimony, but it's the one He's written for us, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Click the "E-Mail Me" icon to contact me. I read every email I receive, but many times, I am not able to respond due to time constraints. I apologize, but there aren't enough hours in the day for me to love on my hubby and kids and also answer emails. Thank you for understanding!
Support
Often times, people ask us how to donate directly to our family, to help with medical expenses, etc. This donate button goes to our personal account where donations are NOT tax-deductible. Please know that we do not at all expect outside support, but we are grateful for your support. God has always abundantly provided for our family, and we thank you for your prayers and support.

Prayed for Ethan and his mom. Can't imagine the pain she has right now. HE is the great healer. HE is a compassionate God. HE will comfort and heal.
Praying. As the mommy of a sweet Ethan of my own, I pray that our mighty God will restore this mommy's little boy to her.

This is about a sleeping pill that sparked brain activity where there was previously none.
