SA TV Story on Chrissie

Just a quick update to let you know that any of you in the San Antonio area can see Chrissie's story on KENS TV5 tonight at 10PM and again tomorrow morning.  It's supposed to also be online at http://www.kens5.com/.  A news reporter with KENS TV5 read Chrissie's obituary in the San Marcos Daily Record, and she called to see if she could come interview our family so she could tell Chrissie's story and help raise awareness for orphans.  (I won't get to watch the news blurb b/c we don't have TV and we wouldn't get SA news anyway, but I'll see what they post online.)

I haven't turned my computer on in a few days, so if you've emailed or commented or contacted me via the web, I apologize that I haven't gotten back to you.  I will...eventually.

Parker turned 14 yesterday (May 25) and Kiefer turned 2 on May 20.  Between b-days and Chrissie's celebration of life service and learning to live without our princess, I haven't had a chance to even open my laptop.

Patterson family,
I was able to join Chrissie's celebration with you online. I was amazed at God's power that shone throught the celebration through each one that shared.
I continue to pray for your family daily.
Love and hugs and prayers,
Debi

It is totally understandable that you would be taking this time to spend with family and support each other as you grieve the tremendous loss of your princess Chrissie. I just wanted to say that I think of your family often--and pray often too. Happy B-Day to Parker and Kiefer! Chrissie, you will never be forgotten, sweet angel! Lori

Your all in our prayers.

Chrissy touched so many. Never met her in person but feels like she was family. Heard the song by steven curtis chapman last night and I was floored with memories of Chrissy from before and after her heart repair. I wished that I could of been there in person for her home going but couldn't make it but I made sure the family got home on time to set up the live feed on our TV to celebrate chrissy's home going.

Lorraine, I am glad they are doing the story on KENS5 especially to help spread the word to others about helping orphans. God is still using Chrissie's life in a very special way, isn't he? Rowan was actually on KENS5 yesterday on the 5 and 10 oclock news....isn't that funny? They did a story on him too. I want you to know that Rowan and I pray for you all every night at bedtime and he's so cute too because our family takes turns blessing the meal and he has been looking up at my son, daughter and husband while they pray and whispering "hey-don't forget about Chrissie!" He drew a picture yesterday of him playing with her in the clouds:-) So precious how much she touched him just through me showing him pictures of her and praying for her with him while we were there in the hospital too. Its hard to believe he never even met her himself, he acts like he's known her all his life. God bless you all. Carrie

Thinking of you...even though I don't know you personally. I've been thinking of you every day and hoping you and your family are doing as ok as can be expected right now. That's exciting that Chrissie's story will be on the news tonight! Just imagine what might happen after it airs!

thinking of you Lorraine, and praying for your whole family. I pray you find comfort every single day in knowing you will all be reunited, for all time.

I admire you greatly for what you have done for orphans, making them beloved members of your family. And for the way you are walking through your grief, with such hope and faith.

May God bless you all, and ease your pain and replace it with peace and HOPE always.

Lorraine, don't you feel guilty or apologize for one second for not wanting to spend time online right now. You need to take care of *you* and be with your family. We understand.

Lorraine, I posted this on my fb page. I am so honored to have heard about Chrissie and pray for her and your family. I still am lifting you up. May our Father in Heaven, the same King of kings who is dancing with your daughter, comfort, strengthen and fill your lives with unspeakable peace and joy! Love ~ Cara (CA)
