When I was a little girl, I always dreamt that I would someday marry a man who loved Jesus and loved children.
I feel so unworthy of the blessing God gave me when He sent me Matt.
He rarely complains. Not even when loading 20+ bags after an 8-day hospital stay for his newest sons.
He loves the least of these, he’s willing to cross the ocean numerous times to rescue whomever God calls him to. And once his kiddos are safe in his home, he straps them on his back and includes them in the family fun, like never a day was missed in the lives of our precious treasures.
He even converted our motor home (with his own hands!) to accommodate all the blessings God has brought to our family. And he drives it with pride, knowing this big ole motor home is carrying God’s blessings.
He takes risks. Big risks. Even if it means his heart might be shattered.
Love is worth it to my husband. He loves deeply, just as our Father in Heaven does.
He is selfless. The most selfless person I’ve ever met. He always shares, giving to others before himself, even his sno cone on a 100 degree day. :-)
He treats his family like royalty, going out of his way to make life fun and full of adventure.
Today, and every day, we praise God for giving us Matt. A dream come true!
Happy Father’s Day, Big Daddy. Thank you for practicing what you preach, for modeling and living selflessness and faithfulness, for loving big, for serving mightily, for putting Jesus and family first, for working hard to provide for your family, and for leading your family boldly down His path. We love you more than any amount of hugs and kisses could ever express, and we’re blessed to call you Daddy.
